İSKİ Wastewater Tunnel Construction (Ayazağa–Kemerburgaz)

A major environmental engineering project that collects municipal wastewater from the Ayazağa, Göktürk and Kemerburgaz catchments and conveys it to the Baltalimanı Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant through gravity and pressure tunnels. The 8,338-metre main tunnel, with a 3,000 mm internal diameter, was completed beneath built-up areas using an EPB closed-face TBM without surface deformation. Designed for a flow capacity of 332,650 m³ per day, it will serve a population of 746,000 for 100 years.
