Engineering Scope & Project Story
This major infrastructure project between Zeytinburnu and Bahçelievler is Türkiye’s first drinking-water tunnel excavated with a domestically manufactured TBM, with 95% local content. The 3,087-metre route carries Ø2,000 mm high-strength welded steel pipes and uses continuous precast segmental lining to prevent ground settlement and deformation. It delivers water from Ömerli Dam to the European side reliably and at high pressure.
